Recently....

..., as in today, I tried something new. It's called guacamole. No, wait, I ate that. I tried something called posterous. It should be interesting to see how it works, since I'm somewhat (as in a LOT) techie, new stuff, web stuff, lot's of stuff challenged. I think it's going to post everywhere on the web, to everyone's site, on everyone's page, and to each and every status update on the planet. This must be the same high megalomaniacs crave.... ;D

Dressing Room Fiasco

I had a great time with my cousins yesterday. Went shopping and we tried on about 700 dresses. Each. Then, on our third dressing room visit, there was the 'man in the dressing room' fiasco. He had on woman's shoes, but if you heard him talk, you KNEW it was a man! Store personnel and security people gathered in an ever growing mob at the dressing room entrance, hyper-vigilant, ready to investigate, all wearing their little secret service ear piece-w/mic attachments. They whispered urgently into their mics and moments later store bouncer 'BIG' Bobby came thundering down the isle, making all the home accessories bounce along the shelves. We were grilled with ferocious seriousness as to whether we 'saw with our own eyeballs' this man, or just heard him. Tension mounted, people crowded in closer. Everyone waited indignantly to stare accusingly at this cheeky man as he came out of the dressing room. How DARE HE!!! Finally, he emerged, carrying his try-on garments in front of him. He looked around at the crowd innocently. We all backed off a little sheepishly when 'he' turned out to be lovely little elderly woman, then collectively blinked when she opened her mouth and that deep, masculine sounding voice said, 'It's cute, but doesn't fit right'.
Age and menopause will sometimes do that to a woman's voice. But he really was a she after all. Just goes to show, never judge a book by it's voice.

I Forgot To Mention The Footsteps!

I can't believe I forgot to mention the footsteps, but it happens constantly to the point where I don't think of it as part of the weirdness. Footsteps in the house. Footsteps walking down the hall. Footsteps outside on the patio by the kitchen. Footsteps in the bathroom. Footsteps behind me while I'm on the computer! And every time I check, no one is around.

"Hey, if you noise makers can see this, and need to talk, then talk. How can I help?"

And as I'm writing this, there is the sound of footsteps right outside my porch door.

"Hellooo...?"

Aaaaannnd nothing.
